Budding Business Brains Urged to Come Forward
Move over The Apprentice, an initiative to help unemployed
people has opened its doors to potential local entrepreneurs in
Neath Port Talbot.
With the help of Neath Port Talbot Council's Business Services
team a new Enterprise Club was launched last week (7th
July) aimed at supporting anyone who's keen to set up their own
Council Leader Ali Thomas said, "Anyone who is currently
unemployed and has a head for business should visit Jobcentre Plus
and get advice about attending an Enterprise Club session.
He added, "New businesses represent the future of our economy,
so we need to make sure that unemployed people with a good idea get
the support they need to move into self-employment.
New entrepreneurs and small business owners in Neath Port Talbot
will be able to swap ideas and talk to guest speakers including
people from successful local businesses."
Those that attended the launch at Sandfields Young Business
Centre included representatives from the Welsh Governments Regional
Centre Service, Business Connect, local financial organisations,
and other marketing specialists.
