Neath Port Talbot Enjoys Success at Regional Building
A company based in Neath Port Talbot has come out top in the
South Wales Regional Finals of the LABC Building Excellence Awards
The awards ceremony, hosted by television
presenter Jason Mohammad, was held on Friday 20th April at The Vale
It was announced that Seven Oaks Joinery, and
its SupaWall panel system, had beaten off stiff competition in the
category for Best Technical Innovation. The SupaWall system
was used by sister company Hale Construction in the recently
completed development at Station Road in Port Talbot.
Paul Davis, Neath Port Talbot Council's
Building Control Manager said: "The government has set very
ambitious targets to reduce CO2 emissions in the construction
industry. It is increasingly difficult for developers to meet
these targets using traditional methods of construction. It
is pleasing to see a local company leading the field in developing
more sustainable methods of construction."
He added "I would like to offer my
congratulations to Seven Oaks on their achievement and wish them
well for the national awards."
As winners of the South Wales Regional finals,
Seven Oaks will now go onto represent both Neath Port Talbot and
Wales at the National Finals to be held in London later this
