Free Seminars for Rural Businesses

Small rural based businesses in Neath Port Talbot are being invited to take advantage of a series of free seminars.

Foot of the Rock

Organised by Neath Port Talbot Council and Business Connect, the events are aimed at businesses that employ less than 10 people and will offer expert advice on two key topics.

The ‘Selling Principles’ Seminar will provide essential information on how to sell more effectively and improve your customer base to give your business the boost it needs, especially important during the current economic climate.

The internet can provide a successful and cost effective solution to promoting a business and building a brand online. The ‘Introduction to Internet Marketing’ Seminars will focus on how to get the best results from your online activity.

The seminars will also give businesses an insight into the wide range of support that they can access via the Enterprise Support for Rural Businesses project, funded by the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007 to 2013.

Councillor Leader Ali Thomas said:

“The Council is committed to supporting businesses in Neath Port Talbot. We are extremely pleased to be working with Business Connect to deliver these free seminars that provide small, rural based businesses with the essential knowledge and skills they need to help them remain competitive in this challenging climate.”

The “Introduction to Internet” seminars will take place on Monday 21st January at Glynneath Training Centre and Monday 25th March at Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre, Cynonville.

The “Selling Principles” seminar has been arranged for Monday 18th February at the Sandfields Young Business Centre.
