Local businesses will have the chance to have breakfast with Nigel, who is now National Director for the English Institute of Sport, at the Aberavon Beach Hotel on the 28th February 2013. The event will focus on encouraging local businesses to improve the health and productivity of their workforce by raising awareness of the importance of healthy habits including the increase of physical activity, sensible eating and reducing stress.

Companies have been invited to get together and pose questions to Nigel on subjects such as how he manages to maintain a busy professional life and how remaining fit and healthy benefits his general wellbeing.

Nigel said, "By bringing people in business together, we get the opportunity to share experiences on key issues such as how the health and wellbeing of staff helps improve performance, how it can help retain personnel and encourage innovation within the organisation.

Health Champions Win Griffiths and Ali Thomas added their own thoughts.

Mr Griffiths said, "Businesses should not see tackling health in the workplace as an obstacle".

He added, "Business leaders can take advantage of the free support on offer, become Health Champions within their own organisations and promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle."

Council Leader Ali Thomas agreed, "Whether you are a new business or a veteran, there are challenges and opportunities at every stage. Health Challenge Neath Port Talbot offers advice and information on the differences people can make to get results."
